Part 1: Medical Grade Body Composition Scan

To give you the best possible start your Starter Session will start with an InBody Body Composition scan.

This is a medical grade test that eliminates the inaccuracy of bathroom scales and confusion about whether you have lost body fat, muscle, water weight, sugar weight...

We'll discuss what you need to achieve to reach healthy range and beyond!

Part 2: Cardio Machines

Cardiovascular training is a key part of our fitness classes to improve heart health, overall fitness and longevity.

It makes sense to know how to use cardio machines to full effect so that you can get the most out of every minute you spend on them!

The second part of your Starter Session will show you correct technique on the rower, bike and ski machine and how to use the computer screens.

Part 3: Mobility Exercises

Getting older and sitting down a lot both reduce pain-free, quality movement.

Our 'pre-workout' mobility circuit is a very effective way to improve your movement and the quality of your workout that day due to increased range of motion.

The third part of your Starter Session will teach you the mobility exercises that will help you reduce hip and shoulder restrictions and release back tension.

Part 4: Weight Training

A critical part of our fitness classes and any good fitness program is resistance training.

In the fourth part of your Starter Session we'll guide you through the key exercises used in our sessions and assess whether you may need any adaptations.

Whilst every class has a clear template, all exercises used can be adapted to be harder or easier depending on your ability, experience and any movement restrictions or injuries.

We'll cover the following movement patterns:

- Core engagement
- Squats
- Deadlifts
- Overhead presses
- Rows
- Push ups
- Kettlebell swings

We use a big variety of exercises during sessions but if you can master these, everything else is just another small step forward (or left and right!)
